I’m a Dad and a Grampa. I like cooking, reading, woodworking (well, I will like it when I get better at it), model railroading, bicycling, movies and music.
I am employed as a technical instructor which pays the bills, but I love writing and this blog is my outlet for developing ideas and expressing myself. I worked as a journalist for two newspapers and an Ezine before teaching first-year composition at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I hold a Master of Science in Technical Communication with an emphasis on electronic publishing and curriculum development. I write freelance articles for Texas Living magazine, too.
I am a conservative republican which, if you read the leftist bloggers, means I am an idiot and cannot think for myself. Quite the contrary, I think a lot and put most of those thoughts here. Some of what you will read is my viewpoint on society or politics but many times I just write about my day or relate a story from my life. Some are funny, some are sad, some are enlightening. It is up to you to pick which ones you want to read.
Please rate my blogs and feel free to comment.
I have a separate blog to chart my weight loss project and if you want to follow along to see how I’m doing, check here.
